Tappy was a mascot for mobile payments company Softcard (formerly Isis Mobile Wallet) in 2014. He was created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Softcard closed down on March 31, 2015, with its assets being acquired by Google and integrated into Google Wallet.

Tappy is an anthropomorphic payment reader with large blue eyes with black eyelashes, a visible top row of teeth in his mouth, two pale-coloured arms and black sneakers for feet. When he is used to scan a credit card, the top of his head lights up green and green lights appear in his eyelashes. Imitating scanning can also trigger these lights, as shown in his only advert.
